On behalf of our members, Club Asteria’s generous financial support is contributing to positive changes in the lives of so many people around the globe. Our recent contributions were made to provide necessary nutritious food for many needy communities and to make clean drinking water available by digging deep wells.
Club Asteria recognizes not only the problem of growing nutritious food products but also having the ability to deliver these products to the people who need them most. We have recently made contributions to enable communities and individuals to lease land, purchase seeds, utilize fertilizers, and invest in harvesting equipment. These contributions are making a significant difference in the quality and the amount of food that is being produced. In addition we are contributing to transportation equipment to ensure that the food can arrive at the desired location. Trucks and railroad equipment are desperately needed to allow this delivery system to actually work and we are contributing to the purchase and repair of such equipment. By enabling produce to be grown and the delivery of that produce to be enhanced we are causing a very positive effect to feeding so many of the world’s population.
Every year unclean water is the silent killer that results in more deaths than all of the global conflicts combined. Children are the most susceptible to water-borne diseases that lead to sickness and death. The only answer to this is to provide either containers of water or to dig deep fresh water wells on site. The wells are expensive and are truly the only sustainable solutions. Each well that is dug provides water for hundreds and even thousands of people, changing their lives forever. Through Club Asteria and our world partners we are making the dream of clean water a reality.
These projects are only the beginning of what Club Asteria can accomplish to provide life’s most basic needs. With the combined efforts of all of our members we will continue this battle against world hunger and disease.
